Boston Terrier Owner Interview: Amy and Blake

What have you liked most about your Boston?

The most loving and sweetest dog we have ever had. Our Boston will actually push her cheek up against our lips for kisses when we get home.

Amy, Blake, and Baby Girl

What is your Boston’s names?

Our Boston is a female named Baby Girl. Originally her name was to be chomper, followed by a few other names that didn’t stick. We would always just call her our Baby Girl. So she just became Baby Girl.

What recommendations would you give to a new Boston Terrier owner?

Be prepared to give them a significant amount of your time and affection. They are very loving dogs.

What does your Boston like to do?

She loves patrolling the house and yard which means she hates closed doors. She loves to cuddle and be as close to you as she can and playing with the ball. She could play with the ball for hours, we have to put it up and away from her eventually so she doesn’t exhaust herself.

What do you do for exercise with your Boston?

She likes to take leisurely strolls in her harness and chasing her ball.

We got our baby from a pet store, she was six months old, so older for a pet store dog. Since then we have learned about the benefits of rescue, so from now on we will be rescuing.

What would you like to say about Boston’s or unique recommendations or advice?

Boston Terriers are sensitive dogs, emotionally and health-wise. Before you decide to get these perfect doggos be willing to dedicate your time to give them all the love they need and money if need be if a health issue comes up.

Also, they can very easily get overheated so be very careful of that. They are definitely worth anything and everything that comes with them.
