Let’s get started…
Boston Terrier Rescues In Florida
Currently, there is only one Boston Terrier rescue operating in the state of Florida. If you know of other rescues operating in Florida, please contact me here to let me know. Your help will make this site better.
The Boston Terrier Rescue Of Florida
The Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida rescues Boston Terriers in the Southeastern United States area.
The rescue adopts out Boston Terriers primarily to Floridians but will consider residents of Georgia and Tennessee.
Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida relies solely on private foster homes and does not have a set facility.
Cost of Adoption
The rescue’s adoption fees are based on a sliding scale ranging from $200 to $600 based on the health and age of the dog.
All dogs will come microchipped, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and already taking heartworm medication.
How To Adopt From This Rescue
This rescue has a non-refundable $20 processing fee to apply for adoption. The adoption application can be found here, and it usually takes several weeks to hear back from the rescue.
If your application is approved, they will conduct a phone interview followed by a home visit. This is to ensure your home is well set up for your new Boston Terrier.
If you are looking specifically for a puppy or a younger Boston Terrier, be prepared to wait a while.
You will be put on a waitlist until one arrives, but they are continually getting new dogs in.

If you are curious about the process of adopting a Boston Terrier from a rescue, listen to this podcast episode from the Boston Terrier Society.
I had the pleasure to talk with Tara, the Vice President of the Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue out of Jackson, Tennessee.
In this episode of the podcast, Tara talks about the steps you will need to take when adopting a Boston Terrier from her rescue.
Even if you are not getting a Boston from her rescue, the steps will be similar across the country.
Adopting a Boston Terrier in need of a home is one of the most amazing things you could do for an animal. While the process may seem tedious at first, it is well worth the wait.
The rescues are going to be with you every step of the way in this process. And the rescues are there to help you after the adoption as well if you ever have any questions.
