Are you about to buy a Boston Baby or have one already and want to know if your new little pup will be a cuddler? After owning a Boston Baby for over a decade and talking with other Boston Terrier owners, I can confirm this breed is very clingy.

Are Boston Terriers Clingy?

Yes, Boston Terriers are clingy. Boston’s like to be right next to their owners if they are not sleeping. This dog breed is loyal and loving.

What Owners Say About Boston Terriers Being Clingy

In a poll conducted on the Boston Terrier Society Facebook page, members were asked if their Boston was clingy. The answer was overwhelming, YES!

How to handle the affection your Boston shows you.

What I do to give my Boston the affection she needs is to make sure to walk, pet, and play with them in the morning and afternoon daily. This breed wants to be loved. If they do not feel loved, you can literally see it in their eyes.

When my wife and I were really busy with school, and work, Bella spent long hours, nearly 12 a day alone. I could tell this separation was killing her. Her eyes were watery than usual, and she began to chew on things.

Final thoughts…

If you are about to buy or have a Boston Baby, you will need to be prepared for a lot of cuddle action. If you are not giving them the cuddles, they want they will find you on the couch and force cuddles upon you.
