Emily & Donnie’s Reasons For Choosing A Boston Terrier

Emily and I chose to get Bella the Boston 10 years ago. Emily had just graduated nursing school, I was still going to college at the time, and Emily comes to me with, “Hey, I want to get a dog.” And I’m like, “No, absolutely not. We’re not going to get a dog.”

I didn’t want that responsibility because my mom had dogs, and it was just something I did not want to get into.

And I knew having any sort of dog was going to cost some money.

Emily talked me into it.

Frenchie versus Boston Terrier

Emily had done all the research, and she originally wanted a French Bulldog, she loved those dogs.

But I was like, “No, we’re not going to spend that much money.” Because French Bulldogs are pretty expensive.

Similar Characteristics

After doing some more research, Emily saw that Frenchies had very similar characteristics to Boston Terriers.

Some of these characteristics were:

  • Small dog breed – perfect for living in an apartment.
  • Non-vocal – Boston’s do not bark much at all.
  • Minimal Shedding – Boston’s can get away with bathing only once per month.
  • Affectionate – Plan on having a dog who will sit by your side all day long.

Why Ann Chose Ozzie The Boston Terrier (Video Starts at 3:31)

Hi, this is Ozzie. He’s our Boston Terrier that we got in October of last year. He was eight weeks old when we got him, and we got him as a companion to our other dog, who is a senior dog because he lost his other companion.

But you know what? He has provided us with love and joy and happiness every day. And we just love him to death.

So if you want a good companion, the Boston Terrier is the way to go.

Why Beth Chose Peppa The Boston Terrier (Video Starts at 3:58)

Hi, I’m Beth from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And this is Peppa.

Peppa and her sister are three months old, and we also have a Boston Terrier named Pogo, and she’s 11 years old.

Back in 2008, when we saw our first Boston Terrier named Steve, our life has never been the same. We have never stopped laughing since that year.

These dogs are hysterical.

They want to please you all the time and they want to make you laugh.

If you’re looking for a dog to be a companion, these are them.

They get along with other cats and other dogs, and they do these best tricks ever. And you’ll never regret having a Boston Terrier.

People stop us all the time and ask us what kind of dog is that? Well, they’re Boston Terriers, and they aren’t like any other.

You will be happy.

We say they’re like Lay’s potato chips, you can’t just have one.

Good luck in getting your next best friend.

Why Justin Chose Blaze The Boston Terrier (Video Starts at 4:58)

I wanted a Boston because I liked their facial expressions and personality. It is very unique and expressive.

They’re just honestly the best dog ever.

Why Lori Chose Emmylou The Boston Terrier (Video Starts at 5:20)

Hi there. I’m Lori Coleman, and this is Emmy Lou Coleman. And we’re here to tell you about why we have Boston Terriers.

The first reason is one, I’ve had them my whole life, and I just could not live without these cute little faces

Two, they don’t make a whole lot of noise. We’re out here, and there’s all kinds of things going on. There’s birds chirping, and there’s fish jumping up. Sometimes she will bark if there’s something going on, but for the most part, she’s a pretty quiet little girl.

Three, I travel a lot, as you can see here in Port Aransas, Texas. And we’re from Austin, we travel quite a bit, so we needed a dog that could go with us wherever we went.

And the fourth reason being the most important look at this face. They’re just the cutest things ever.

So if you’re looking into a dog, these guys are definitely the ones.

Why Susan Chose Darla & Priscilla (Video Starts at 6:12)

I chose a Boston Terrier because they’re a small dog, and they adapt pretty well in any environment.

Boston’s are really smart and loyal, and obedient, sometimes.

  • Low maintenance
  • Barely shed
  • Smart & easy to train
  • Loyal companions

And obviously, when you get one, you can’t stop wanting to get two and you’ll never be alone, they get in the bathroom because they follow you everywhere.

Boston Terriers are great, you will love them.
